"If people let government decide what foods they eat and what medicines they take, their bodies will soon be in as sorry a state as are the souls of those who live under tyranny."

CSA 10.10

I first got interested in farming my senior year of college after reading Wendell Berry's "The decline of american culture and agriculture". i have read many other things from wendell over the years but hadn't heard much from him for a while until yesterday i read "wendell berry, poet and prophet calls for revolution". he is calling for an immediate end to industrial farming and a return to the sustainable farming methods of the past.  I'm taking him for his word here. tomorrow - the sweet potato rebellion.
(more sweet potatoes next week if we don't pull it off)
